Advancing Alzheimer's Research by Fostering Collaboration

NACC hosts semiannual Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) Meetings to bring together ADRC leaders and researchers and partner organizations to exchange ideas, share discoveries, build partnerships, and advance methodologies in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) research. The ADRC Meetings are central to NACC's mission to foster collaboration across the ADRC network to accelerate AD/ADRD research.

  • Feature targeted scientific sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities
  • Provide a showcase for the ADRC Program's collaboration and innovation across multiple domains, including biomarker discoveries, clinical assessment advances, multimodal data sharing, and community engagement initiatives
  • Focus on a different set of Scientific Cores each time, chosen from the eight core components ADRCs are required to maintain: Administrative, Clinical, Data Management and Statistics, Neuropathology, Outreach Recruitment and Engagement, Biomarker, Imaging, and Research Education Component
  • Feature specialized cores that individual Centers develop based on their unique strengths and research focuses
  • Provide valuable cross-core engagement to enable the ADRC Program to address the complex challenges of AD/ADRD from multiple angles and reflect the comprehensive nature of AD/ADRD research
  • Held in May and October each year (in cities where ADRCs are based)
  • Delivered in a "hybrid" format with in-person and online options to increase accessibility for researchers

2026 Spring ADRC Meeting

Why Attend an ADRC Meeting?

ADRC Meetings are a cornerstone of collaboration and innovation in the research of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. These semi-annual gatherings bring together over 1000 attendees from across the ADRC and AD/ADRD network, creating unique opportunities for knowledge exchange and partnership development that drive the field forward.

Networking

Network with Leading Researchers and Clinicians

Connect with experts across all ADRC Cores, fostering relationships that can lead to new collaborations and research opportunities. Our hybrid format enables both in-person and virtual networking opportunities.

Share latest findings

Share the Latest Findings and Methodologies

Present your research through interactive sessions, workshops, and poster presentations. Learn about cutting-edge approaches in AD/ADRD research, from novel biomarker studies to advances in clinical assessments.

Collaborate

Participate in Cross-Core Collaborations

Engage in sessions that bridge multiple cores, fostering interdisciplinary approaches to complex research challenges. Special cross-core sessions facilitate dialogue between neuropathology, clinical, biomarker, imaging, and other research areas.

Engage in research

Engage with Emerging Research Initiatives

Stay at the forefront of AD/ADRD research through updates on major initiatives like CLARiTI, UDSv4, SCAN, and other collaborative projects. Connect with NIA leadership and learn about new funding opportunities and program priorities.
